Items Needed For This Process
- Computer set (desktop or laptop)
- A working USB cable
- An updated version of a ledger live
- Ledger device; Nano X/ Nano S (For the sake of this guide, we will needing Nano S)
Steps To Take
- Add the XRP Application on your ledger device
- Click open the updated version of Ledger live
- Move your cursor to the Manager section found on the left sidebar, Use the search bar to type XRP, when it appears click install
- XRP Account Creation
For you to gain full access to your XRP address of your wallet, you must create an account, this will enable you to create an XRP wallet. Open an account using these steps:
On the left side of the ledger live app, find a + symbol inside a circle and click on it
To find XRP, simply type it on the search bar and click ‘continue’
Click on the XRP app to open and click ‘continue’
Be patient for the synchronization of the Ledger Live
After the synchronization, you should create a name for your wallet, For this guide lets use ‘Best XRP Wallet’ as the name
Click on the checkbox with a blue color and then select ‘Add Account’
You will see ‘Account Successfully Added’ if you want to create more XRP wallets, click on ‘Add More’
On the accounts section on the left, click on the XRP wallet you created after which you click on the receive button colored blue
Click ‘Continue’ and click ‘Verify’ and then Confirm that it is the same wallet address that is displayed in the physical ledger device.
Confirm if the same wallet address that is displayed on your physical ledger device is same as the one on the ledger live app for security reasons. Once you are sure of that, the wallet address shown on Ledger live can now be copied and be used for fund movement from the exchange you make use of other XRP wallets.
With these steps followed diligently, you can easily add your Ripples to your Ledger Nano S
