CoinBase, which was founded on 2012 has been one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges with respect to trading volume. The ease of usage with Coinbase is what makes it different from other wallet apps.
What sets Coinbase apart from other platforms is its eaas of use, it allows the users to buy a variety of cryptocurrencies with its latest additions being Basic Attention Token (BAT), Stellar (XLM) Zilliaq (Zil). Altogether Coinbase supports 21 different cryptocurrencies.
Coinbase eventually plans to add majority of the traded cryptocurrencies to its platform. You can use either bank transfer, debit card, credit card and now Paypal to purchase coins on coinbase. It just could not be anymore convenient. Other benefits of using coinbase include low-fees and easy access to Coinbase Pro, which is a full fledged cryptocurrency exchange for trading.

Before anything, here’s how you can link your PayPal account to your Coinbase account.
How to Link Paypal to Coinbase
This can only be done through the Coinbase website for which you can use any web browser.
Once you log in to your Coinbase account click on “Setting” which you will find on the top right hand corner of your screen.
This will bring you to a “Screen” where you manage all your accounts; bank account, credit and debit cards etc.
Click on the Third last Tab that says “Linked Accounts”. Here you will see a prominent “Blue” Button “Link a New Account” as shown in the picture below.
Once you click this, You will be directed to a pop-up browser as shown in the picture below. You have all the types of selections for the types of accounts that you would like to add. As you may have noticed the second option is “Paypal”. Simply click on this option and this will directly take you to your “Paypal” sign in Page.
Sign in to your Paypal Account and follow through and next you will have to “Agree” which will link your Paypal account your Coinbase account.
You can now start transferring funds from your paypal account to Coinbase to purchase cryptocurrency with ease.
How to Withdraw from Coinbase to Paypal
For your ease the withdrawal process is break into small steps
- Firstly, select the “Buy/Sell” option that you will find on the Coinbase Menu bar as shown in the picture below.
- You should now be seeing 2 TABS – ‘BUY’ & ‘SELL’ . Click on the ‘SELL’ TAB as shown below.
- Now, select the wallet that you will be transferring the money from.
- Next, select your PayPal wallet in the “DEPOSIT TO” section.
Simply Select the Amount of crypturrency that you want to cash out to your Paypal Account. Keep in mind that you can not transfer cryptocurrency to Paypal because Paypal can not store cryptocurrency. Your cryptocurrency will be converted to cash and deposited into your Paypal account. You will do this by clicking “SELL BITCOIN INSTANTLY”
- Now confirm that the amount you entered was correct and hit the Confirm button !
- You can go to the “ACCOUNTS TAB” which is on the main menu bar on Coinbase for recent activity and confirm the amount ‘sent’
If you were able to follow all the steps above, you should not be receiving a notification that your funds have been trasnferred to Paypal !
